Many Americans are shaken by the latest speculation about a mosque being built on ground zero. I witnessed the president’s live conference where he agreed with the alleged project…for what? To prove that we accept the Arabic race? We already do. They already live among us just fine. I am hoping that this is not going to happen since it can create a civil issue. Maybe on his next press conference, he would say, “America, you’ve been punked!” Think of the war we could have in our own country. We would need the troops here not over seas if this event takes place. I feel that Americans, especially the ones who were directly affected by the 911 incident would feel like they have been slapped in the face if a mosque is place on ground zero. Just the president’s acceptance of the proposal is alarming and painful to the American people. I think if our American leaders would allow such a spectacle to take place, then they should just go ahead and sign over Hawaii, Guam and Saipan to the Japanese government. I believe they still want the islands. If the people’s interest is not important, then what makes the government so special. They could show good grace by giving up the islands, they don’t need it. How about we demand this, then the government can let who ever they want build on ground zero. After all, its our free country too.
